We love Vieques. So we must return to collect our hearts.
Maybe it was the beaches, the sea, the beautifully appointed Coral
Cottage or Tom’s hosting skills – whatever we will see
you again.
1/5/02, New York City
Hey! Thanks for everything! We had a fabulous time
in Vieques and can’t wait to come back.
12/25/01 to 1/10/02 Rhode Island
“Christmas in the Caribbean” is the way
to go! Coral Cottage is a little slice of heaven, great job! See you
next year.
1/12 to 1/16 2002
Thanks so much for the wonderful place to stay. It
was great being able to cook and enjoy a place to ourselves. The house
works great and the weather was perfect. Hope to be back soon. Thanks
Again!

What a great place to stay. Tom and Kevin you have
done a wonderful job with this cottage. Thank you for sharing it with
us! Oh, Café Media Luna has great food!
3/17/2002 Winchester, PA
A spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully
equipped house with real charm in a great neighborhood; one of a kind
place. It is also a great benefit on this island to be a friend
of Tom and Kevin. Come and see us some time on Cape Cod.
3/28/2002, McCall, Idaho
Had a great time on the Island. Loved the Coral Cottage.
Tom and Kevin were wonderful and very helpful. This is our second year
here and we will be back again.
April 2002, Miami Florida
Thank you for being such gracious hosts! The Cottage
is absolutely perfect. Thank you so very much we will stay with you
again.
July 12, 2002, Leawood, Kansas
Tom and Kevin,
Such incredibly hospitality we have enjoyed since the
moment we stepped off the ferry. From being picked up at the dock to
the basket filled with rum, pineapple and coconut for fresh pina coladas.
The Coral Cottage offered everything we needed for an effortless vacation.
Thank You.
---------------------
Charming house with gracious and tasteful amenities,
especially the pina colada fixings. Much thought put into everything
here – one could not ask for a better appointed cottage.
Tom and Kevin are thoughtful, kind and generous and
we would like to get to know them. We had great Vieqense food at Much
Gusto (authentic and very inexpensive) – a short walk into Isabel
Segunda.
November 23 – December 6,
2002
It was beautiful, it was charming, it was peaceful
and quaint. It was everything life on the beach should be. Thanks to
Tom and Kevin for all the small touches that made this house perfect.
PS – Just three final words: Three
Pound Lobster!!!! Amazing
Jan 10, 2003
Hey Tom and Kevin,
We had a blast this week…..thanks for maintaining
such and accommodating cottage! We both feel like we got lucky on our
first Caribbean adventure.
1/24/03, Province Town
Thanks Tom and Kevin,
The cottage worked out great for us. As you well know,
we’ll be back before you even miss us. Thanks again for all your
help. Looking forward to being your new neighbors. Hopefully, we’ll
give you some landscaping competition in the future. Keep in touch
and don’t forget that visit to P-Town.
1/29/2003, Marquette, MI
From being greeted at the airport until our departure,
the Coral Cottage and Vieques ended a beautiful two week vacation in
this tropical paradise. Tom’s introduction to the cottage and
island was very helpful. We beachcombed, swam, explored, as well as
ate and drank some wonderful food and beverage. Weather was perferct,
especially with reports from the mainland of sub-zero temperatures!
With fairwinds, we’ll return someday!
3/4/2003, Maryland
What a perfectly appointed cottage! We immediately
fell in love with your house, yard, view, and ambience. From the fans,
to the AC, to the icemaker, to the glass top table, the kitchenware,
cd player, every convenience!
We wish we could stay longer! Our two 90 year olds
fared well, went on the biobay but skipped the snorkeling.
This place was so excellent. We loved it. Thank you
so much we hope to come again.
4/7/2003, Israel
We had a great time. The cottage is well equipped which
is so important for cook lovers as us. That’s the ultimate vacation
for us. We look forward to being here next year.
4/11/2003, Livingston Texas
Thank you Tom- for picking us up at the airport, guiding
us thru town and wonderful Coral Cottage. This is the last week of
our three week stay in Puerto Rico – and this is, by far, the
nicest place we’ve stayed. Thank you for all the nice extras
you have at the Coral Cottage – it made our stay extra special!
Thanks again for every thing!
Long term rental from April 2003 to October 2004
28 Dec – 3 Jan 2005, Willamsburg, VA
We had a terrific time here at the Coral Cottage. We
got here one day late and had one day of bad weather but the rest of
our stay was great. House is comfy – we liked special touches
like beach chairs, bag, and towels, VCR and movies, some of which we
watched, pina colada fixings, and the personal tour of Isabel II by
Tom upon arrival.
We very much enjoy Vieques and hope that the residents
keep out the big resorts out. A couple of good restaurants would be
nice!
March 12 – 19, 2005
Tom and Kevin,
We had a fabulous time at the Coral Cottage! Very private
and nicer than the pictures! Vieques is so enchanting, we will undoubtedly
be returning! The biobay was definitely a once-in-a lifetime experience
that we won’t forget. Great food and great people. Best Wishes.
March 20-28th 2005, San Francisco, CA
We can’t “crow” enough about the
Coral Cottage! Thanks for everything – we really had a good time. Blue
beach was the best. I’m sure a biobay tour is great, but make
sure there’s no moon.
We’ve been so comfortable here, we could just
stay for months. The gardens are lovely and we enjoyed an Easter Morning
egg hunt out there with our four year old. I’m now addicted to
Pina Coladas, so great to have the ingredients stocked on arrival.
Mar Azul was our favorite evening hangout – shoot pool and watch
the sunset almost every night. Child friendly too. We would whole heartedly
recommend the Coral Cottage to anyone. Thank You,
April 15 – April 21, 2005
The Coral Cottage is an excellent place to stay. Very
clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Café Espanola and
Much Gusto for local food. This place is awesome and we’ll definitely
be back.
July 2 – July 9 2005, New Jersey
Fantastic Island – The Coral Cottage was clean
and well appointed. We had a great time cooking and using the grill.
Conveniently located next to the Bravo which has great food and great
views of the shooting stars.
Blue Beach was the greatest, Navio was also fun and
we found the locals to be extremely friendly.
July 24 through 29, San Juan Puerto Rico
This is one of the Best experiences ever. Living in
San Juan, Puerto Rico sometimes can become a hassle.
At the end of the week you need to quiet down a little
bit and get stressed out. My husband and I needed that. I found this
place a week before coming here. I thought I could never find a place
like this in such a short time but I did. It came right from heaven.
It is such a beautiful place and you don’t need
anything just a couple of things from the market and that’s it.
We love the beautiful beaches. It’s like being
in paradise.
We are planning our next trip with our family, my dad
will love this, and we will definitely come here.
Thanks for everything on our honeymoon. Keep up the
good work guys.
Aug 1 to 13, 2005, Nashville, TN
This was our second stay on Vieques – what a
treasure. A great place to unwind.
October 13 – 20, 2005, Boston, MA
Thanks so much! This place is fantastic. It was wonderful
to be able to come here to rest and recharge the batteries. Keep up
the great work and hope to see you soon.
PS – Loved the Hammock
Tom and Kevin,
Thanks for the “retreat” at Coral Cottage
for the week while working on our house in town. Your cottage is an
inspiration for us is comfort here in Vieques.
November 10th – December 10th, 2005, Ashville,
NC
Kevin and Tom,
Great place you guys have here! Loved the hammock,
sounds of the ocean and comfortable beds. Thanks for a great stay!
The Coral Cottage is too cute.
Jan 8th – 13th 2006, Madison, Wisconsin
We had a great time here. The cottage is well appointed
and comfortable. Especially liked the garden hammock and outside patio
area for grilling and eating. If you have a bigger group like we did
you will want to make reservations at the limited amount of restaurants.
The beaches here are beautiful. We especially liked Blue Beach and
Navio.
Jan 13th – 15th, 2006, Woodbury, MN
Great time in Vieques, Especially at the Overlook (the
party). We will be back.
Jan 16th to Jan 28th, 2006, Indianapolis, IN
Thanks for a great stay in Vieques. This was our second
trip here and we love it. We’ll be back.
Feb 4- 11, 2006-03-08
The Coral Cottage was a great base for our excursions
on the enchanted isle. We will miss Mr. Lizard. We hope to be back
very soon and we wish the best of times to all who stay here.
Feb 15 – March 1, 2006, NYC
Very much like a honeymoon for us! Coral Cottage will
always be “our special place”. You can be proud of the
quality of everything in the Cottage. It is a great location and comfortable
layout. For us it has been heaven.
Thank you so much Tom and Kevin! We’ve had an
utterly delightful time. Watched most of the marvelous assortment of
movies you have here, enjoyed our meal on the porch, etc. Having the
cooler and ideal beach chairs was such fun for our daily beach trips.
Best of luck with all your projects and please let
us know when you come to NYC.
Loved Coral Cottage and yard. Cooked-in more than ate out. Topacio was good! Had few visits from dog next door, wanted more! We saw spine lobster and star fish @ Mosquito Pier (snorkeling). Saw Sea turtle @ Sunbay.
- Feb 2008
We had a wonderful week in this beautiful little cottage – and exploring the beaches of Vieques. Our favorite spot were Blue and Red Beaches & Playa Prieta too. (is that Secret Beach)? All were not crowded and spectacularly gorgeous. Skip Gringo Beach (the name showed have told us that!) and Green Beach is worth a peek too. We had a few excellent meals- El Quenepo in Esperanza, Topacio, Duffys (fish tacos!) Sadly, Mamasonga was closed all week, so we never had the pleasure that others enjoyed. Did spend some quality time across the street at Al’s Mar Azul. Though! The house is a lovely oasis- Thank you for sharing it with us. We had a lot of fun here cooking here & eating and playing cards on the back deck. Thank you!! will be back. NY, NY
Well what can we say? This place is absolutely amazing. We loved the cat the usually hangs out around here. The Beaches are wonderful, the beds are absolutely comfortable and it almost feels like home. Good to have a TV… don’t have one at home. The house is well supplied. We had a great time here at the Coral Cottage and we hope to come back again. Thank you… NYC, NY
What a wonderful stay at the Coral Cottage! A few haiku’s to describe our experiences. Beautiful Beaches, Red, Green, Blue, fun in the Sun, Vieques, I love you! Million phosphors glow, wet skin and senses sparkle. Love wife, best friend, life. While swimming with fish I feel the reverdecer Isle of Enchantment. Hey lagartijo; el gatito te sigue… corre rapido. Hope to be back soon! P.S. Things not to miss: The Bio-Bay (we use Abe’s) Red, Blue, and Green Beaches were great with good snorkeling. But we heard that snorkeling here in Bravos the Boston is great, so try it. Rome, GA and Charleston, SC
This is our second stay at the Coral Cottage, as we are lucky indeed, to know the owners. Along with good judgment and taste the Bravos Boyz has a heart of gold! We have both enjoyed the amenities of Coral Cottage; the Crisp linens, washer & dryer convenience and the wall kept grounds. The ceiling fans in every room keep the house cool, comfortable and airy. The added touches of various arts on the walls are attention to details to be savored. Coral Cottage is well stocked, but I would agree with other guest comments that some other staples be available such as salt & pepper. I do understand that leaving “food” may attracted bugs, but the salt and pepper could be left in air tight Tupperware. All in all, we are grateful to escape New England’s cold winter and bask in Vieques’ 80 degrees climate in the comfort of Coral Cottage! Thank you kindly, Portland, ME
